Tired of your turbo honda running too hot? Think 220 deg F is ok? Think again!
Improve engine efficiency and resist detonation by keeping engine temps down. You can't upgrade everthing on your engine and neglect your cooling system. Our radiator and fan combo will stop your overheating problems for good. We start out with a lightweight aluminum Koyo high performance radiator from the 92-95 Civic, other wise known as the "half radiator". With a 2 1/16" thick core and mirror polished end tanks, this radiator not only looks the part but performs as well. You can have the best radiator in the world but without any air moving across it, it can't do it's job. This is where the killer Spal fan and custom shroud come into play. We use a 13" 1710 CFM Spal fan, not to be confused with the junk $50 "slim fans" that say they flow big numbers. This fan really moves the air and the 18.5 amp motor proves it's not like the stuff you pick up at the auto parts store. The key to having a really affective fan setup is having a shroud. Without a shroud the fan will only pull air through a circle the diameter of the fan. By making a shroud and sealing it to the core of the radiator, you create a low pressure area on the back side of the radiator and promote air flow across the complete core.
This setup includes the Koyo radiator, the Spal fan, a custom T1 5052 aluminum shroud, a Bosch 30 amp relay and connector, Royal Purple - Purple Ice cooling additive, and complete instructions for wiring the fan.
This is the exact setup we run on our race car and we solved all our cooling issues. Last year making over 800hp with a PWR radiator and FAL fan we were consistently crossing the lights at over 225 degrees and climbing. This year we don't even break 200 degrees on a pass!
The motor sticks out about 4" from the core and the edges of the fan stick out 2" from the core.
We will not accept returns because of fitment problems. You can't build your cooling system around your turbo system, you have to work the other way. If you don't have any clearance in front of your radiator now, we suggest you make room for a proper cooling setup or you'll continue to have cooling problems.
Priced individually this combo costs right at $1000.
* Radiator pictured has -16 male bungs on the inlet and outlet, this is not included in this combo but is available as an upgrade.
